The only area in the South West that we can fit 12 plus campers/tenters is Chapman Pool. I have spoken to the 'locals' and we now have a plan which should allow us all to fit. Pommy and I are going to share the campsite. Those who can make the early departure time of my trip can join me. We need to go down early to secure the camp area. Those who can't then will have to come down with Pommy and the rest of the workers. Any others I suggest you contact Pommy(by phone as email down) or myself (my email works). If you could all update your trip registration that will greatly assist the trips leaders in organising things. ************************ We want to tag along on Pommy's trip but he won't let us because our tent is too big. So we are going to try to shadow him as best we can with the Glamper in tow. Shhhhh we hunting Pommy's. No promises, no plans but we will have a holiday. Suggest Glampers be self sufficient as we have no idea where Pommy is going or where we will be parking. Please note trip will be closed week before departure so I know how much face paint I need for camouflage. ;p Them Pommy's are kinda hard to follow if they see ya coming. | |

| Details: | The 2014 Blues for the Bush family Concert is being held at the beautiful Charles Darwin Reserve in Perenjori Western Australia providing a stunning backdrop for family and friends to gather and relax while being entertained by a talented line up of blues and roots musicians from this region and beyond. The Charles Darwin Reserve falls largely within the Southwest Botanical Province, Australia's only internationally recognized biodiversity ‘hotspot and is home to many unique and wonderful species of flora and fauna. Together with the support of Bush Heritage Australia, the Reserve’s custodians, The Shire of Perenjori has created a unique event that celebrates both the outstanding natural beauty of the venue and the hospitality of the local community by offering concert-goers the rare opportunity to experience great music, nature and rural community spirit in one location. | Details: | Ok, we are planning to start in Auckland then Bay of Islands, maybe Cape Renga, then south to the Waitomo Caves. From there we hope to find the Hobbits and after that a warm bath in Rotorura. Now south to Lake Taupo, then Wellington where we plan to cross to the Southern Island somehow. Hopefully now a visit to Motueka, Greymouth, Franz Josef Glacier, Mt Aspiring, Queenstown, Te Anau, Milford Sound, Invercargill, Dunedin and Ashburton, then back home from Christchurch. No trailers, no caravans, not even tents and no 4bs on this one please :-) | |
